I have a vision of your smile,
It brightens up my day.
If even only for a while,
It makes me wanna say,
'I'd walk a mile or even three,
If I could hear you laugh,
Imagining you next to me,
Is all that I would ask' but..
I know that can't happen,
I know that won't come true,
I only see you in my dreams,
Illusion, I feel so blue.
Gray skies, silver streak,
Glowing in a seeming fit,
Gray skies, lit by light,
Groaning in the airy night,
Gray skies, thundering fate,
Grandly framed by haunting shade,
Gloom is set upon us here,
Gale, wind and storm we fear.
Exuding confidence with each graceful movement,
Everyone is spellbound, and so am I.
Excited by this opportunity to see you.
Eager to capture each motion you make,
Enticing, tantalizing, teasing me, your
Elegance provokes emotions deep within each of our hearts.
"Change, I will." I heard him say.
Careless words to soothe my temper,
Calm me, disarm me.
Could it be for real this time?
Certainly I shouldn't consider it.
Change is change is change,
Change is temporary, and permanent.

And I went in, and I saw,
A whole load of people looking for Attention.
Attention seems to be missing,
And I waited. I sat.
"Attention isn't in today," someone said.
And we asked, "When will Attention be in then?"
"Attention will be in when he is." he replied.
And I waited. I sat.
And I left after awhile, the sign was lying,
A search began.
a dangerous hallucinationThe light coming through the window was bright,
much too bright.
Even though my eyes were closed
I could see it-
The skin of my arms prickled,
sweat dripped from my brow.
It was two in the afternoon but…
the sun was setting
through the window facing east.
I should have seen the hutch,
shelves lined with bone china
decorated with delicate leaves and vines.
I was so thirsty
and reaching for cups that should have been there.
Instead I found a billboard of butterflies,
the colors raging
more than any rainbow
I'd ever seen.
Their wings fluttered and flashed
yet somehow they moved in slow motion.
I wanted to stand,
wanted to reach out and touch them but…
I couldn't move,
and yet I laughed
ignoring my dry mouth
and the tingling in my feet.
There was a tempest
on the rise
and in my blood.
A sugar rush disguised
as a riot of butterflies
and they were swarming me.
There was a small vial
of insulin in my pocket
that I nev
